I am currently a graduate student at the University of Oxford, pursuing my Masters degree in Computer Science as a member of Green Templeton College. Prior to that, I was a Research Assistant at the Institute of Data Science, National University of Singapore. I have completed my Bachelor in Technology (B. Tech) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India in 2018.
I am deeply drawn to the idea of multi-disciplinary research. I have done extensive research and have a diverse background in machine learning - starting from data analysis, training deep learning model, making predictions and recommendations, publishing my research and deploying it for end users. Highlights of my skills and interests:
- Machine Learning
- Deep Learning
- Health Data Analytics
- Computer Vision and Image Processing
- Natural Language Processing
- Data/ Text Mining and Information Retrieval
- Social Media Analytics and Recommender Systems
- Time Series Analysis
Capitalizing on this multi-faceted background, my objective is to work on healthcare, especially focusing on big data analytics and computer vision. I am always curious to explore ways to obtain and analyse data (of any kind - images, signals, text, graphs), and want to do ground-breaking research geared towards building novel applications in the domain of healthcare.
I recently got interviewed at my undergraduate Alma Mater where I summed up my experiences of building a career in Machine Learning over the last half decade. Read on to find out more.
